BNP’s 10th phase blockade underway
The 10th phase of 48-hour countrywide blockade called by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its allies is underway demanding polls under a non-party interim government.
The blockade began at 6am on Wednesday and will continue till at 6am on Friday.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP, announced the blockade programme at a virtual press briefing.
Vehicles of the newspapers or media, ambulances, and vehicles transporting oxygen cylinders and medicines will remain out of the purview of the blockade, Rizvi said.
