BNP announces another 48-hour blockade
BNP and like-minded parties have announced a fresh 48-hour blockade of road, rail, and waterways across the country from early Wednesday.
The blockade will be held from Wedneday 6 am to Friday 6 am demanding cancellation of the schedule of the 12th national election, release of opposition leaders and activists, including BNP chief Khaleda Zia, and the resignation of the government.
Besides, BNP will form human chain programs across the country, including the capital Dhaka, on Sunday (December 10) on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcements in a virtual press conference on Monday afternoon.
Earlier, BNP observed blockade programs across the country in nine phases to press home the aforesaid demands.
