BNP’s 48-hour countrywide blockade underway

BNP and other opposition parties’ 48-hour countrywide blockade of road, rail and waterways is underway demanding polls under a non-party interim government. 

The blockade started at 6am on Sunday and will continue till 6am on Tuesday.

Despite blockade, the vehicular movement is normal in the capital. 

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the party, on Thursday afternoon announced the programme at a virtual press briefing.

Earlier, BNP observed a 24-hour blockade and 12-hour hartal across the country on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
