Barishal JCD President Rezaul Karim arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two people including Barishal city unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Rezaul Karim on charge of planning an arson attack on launch after the announcement of national election schedule.

RAB’s Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moeen confirmed the matter to Jago News early Wednesday. 

The RAB officer said Rezaul had also involvement with subversive acts including arson attack and violence in Dhaka and Barishal after October 28.

Further details regarding their arrest will be disclosed at a press conference later, he added.

However, the first day of BNP and other opposition parties’ 48-hour countrywide blockade is underway demanding the next election under a neutral government.
