LDP calls 48-hour blockade across country
Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has called upon the parties that have been in a simultaneous movement with BNP to observe a 48-hour nationwide blockade of road, rail, and waterways for Wednesday and Thursday.
The party President Col (retd) Oli Ahmed made the call in a statement on Monday.
In the statement, he said, "I request all-level leaders and activists of LDP and the countrymen to make successful blockade program on November 8 and 9 (Wednesday and Thursday) in your respective areas coordinating with the parties that have been in movement."
Thanking the country's people for observing the blockade on November 5 and 6 successfully, he urged all to hold programs peacefully days ahead to oust the government and bring back the country's sovereignty and constitutional rights.
The LDP chief also urged the common people not to take their vehicles out during the blockade to help make the program successful.
