BNP leader Aminul Haque allegedly picked up

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) north city unit Member Secretary Aminul Haque was allegedly picked up by police early Thursday.

“He was detained by police from a hotel in the capital’s Gulshan area at 4am,” BNP Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told journalists. 

Rizvi said police cordoned off the hotel before detaining him.  

However, the last day of the three-day countrywide blockade, called by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), is underway on Thursday.
