AL picks Sazu for B'baria-2, Pinku for Lakshmipur-3 by-polls

Awami League has nominated Prof Md Shahjahan Alam Sazu and Golam Faruk Pinku for the by-elections to Brahmanbaria-2, and Lakshmipur-3 constituencies respectively.
The decision was taken in the meeting of AL's nomination board at Prime Minister and the party President Sheikh Hasina's Ganabhaban residence in Dhaka on Sunday evening.
The by-polls to Brahmanbaria-2, and Lakshmipur-3 constituencies are scheduled to be held on November 2.
The two seats fell vacant following the deaths of lawmakers Abdus Satter Bhuiyan and AKM Shahjahan Kamal on Saturday (September 30).
Of them, Abdus Satter was a lawmaker from Brahmanbaria-2 MP while Shahjahan Kamal was Lakshmipur-3 MP.
