Khaleda's sentence suspension being extended by 6 more months

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's conditional release from jail suspending her sentences in two corruption cases is being extended by six more months.

The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry gave an opinion to extend the sentence suspension by six more months on the previous two conditions and sent it to the Home Affairs Ministry, Law Minister Anisul Huq told the reporters on Sunday.

The two conditions are Khaleda Zia will receive treatment staying at her own residence in Dhaka, and cannot go abroad during the temporary release period.

With this, the BNP chairperson's conditional release from jail is being prolonged for the eighth time.
