Tough time ahead, be ready, Fakhrul to leaders-activists

Mentioning that hard times are ahead for the movement to oust the government, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the party leaders and activists to stay prepared.

He made the urge in a brief rally after a mass procession in front of the party's Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.

BNP's Dhaka North City unit brought out a mass procession from Rampura while Dhaka South City unit brought out another procession from Kamalapur that ended at Nayapaltan.

It started raining soon after Mirza Fakhrul came to the stage of the brief rally at Nayapaltan to speak and the leaders and activists waited standing in the rain to listen to his speech.

He said to them, "Standing in the rain, you are getting wet and suffering. There will come more trouble ahead and with this, a government of people must be established by defeating this government.

Stating the government commits all unethical acts to hold power, the BNP secretary general said it has no ability to resist the voice people raised against it.

Alleging the governing is hatching many conspiracies to foil the ongoing movement, he called upon the party leaders and activists to stay cautious.
