BNP leader GK Gaus placed on 2-day remand
A court in Dhaka has placed BNP Cooperative Affairs Secretary Golam Kibria Gaus on a two-day remand in a case filed for allegedly plotting to kill former Finance Minister late AMA Muhith.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order on Wednesday after he had been produced before the court, seeking a 10-day remand.
BSS adds: The case was filed on August 28, 2015, for plotting to kill lawmaker Advocate Abu Jahir and finance minister Muhith.
Gaus was booked recently in two cases lodged over BNP men's clashes with police on August 19 in Sylhet and was granted six-week interim bail by the High Court on yesterday.
