Jamaat brings out protest procession in Dhaka
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami brought out a procession in Dhaka protesting the decision not to allow it to hold a previously announced rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.
The procession started from Mirpur-1 Golchattar 1.50 pm and ended at Technical intersection.
In the procession, the party demanded the release of its leaders and activists.
The party's Dhaka North City Secretary Muhammad Rezaul Karim led the procession.
Earlier on Tuesday, Jamaat-e-Islami announced to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday but Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Thursday said it did not give permission of program.
