AL's Mohiuddin Bachchu wins Ctg-10 by-polls

Awami League candidate Md Mohiuddin Bachchu has won the by-elections to Chattogram-10 constituency.

Returning officer and Chattogram regional election officer Md Hasanuzzaman announced the results on Sunday evening.

Mohiuddin Bachchu bagged 52,923 votes and Jatiya Party candidate Md Shamsul Alam got 1,572 in the by-polls that saw only 11.70 percent voter turnout. 

The seat (Double Mooring-Halishahar-Khulshi-Katalganj), however, fell vacant following the death of lawmaker Afsarul Amin on June 02.
