3 AL associate bodies to hold rally in Dhaka on July 27

Three associate and brotherly organizations - Juba League, Swechasebak League and Chhatra League - of ruling Awami League (AL) will jointly hold a peace rally in Dhaka on July 27 protesting the alleged attacks on their leaders and activists in different parts of the country. 

Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil announced the programme at a press conference held at AL’s central office in the capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Monday.

Swechasebak League acting President Mezbaul Hossain Bachchu, its General Secretary Afjalur Rahman Babu, BCL President Saddam Hossain and its General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Enan were, among others, present during this time. 

However, BNP will also hold a grand rally in the capital on July 27 to press home its one-point demand for the resignation of the AL government.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the fresh announcement from a youth rally at the city’s Shuhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Saturday.
