BNP to hold countrywide mourning processions today
BNP will hold nationwide mourning processions, including in the capital, on Thursday afternoon, protesting the killing of a Krishak Dal leader in Laxmipur and the attacks on the road march programme of the party in different parts of the country on Tuesday.
The leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies will bring out a procession from in front of the party’s Nayapaltan central office at 3pm that will end at Moghbazar.
BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas announced the programme while addressing the party’s second-day march at Jatrabari in the capital on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the BNP ended its two-day road-march programme across the country, demanding the Awami League (AL) government’s resignation.
On July 12, the party announced a one-point movement seeking the resignation of the ruling AL government.
