BNP's 2nd march from Abdullahpur to Jatrabari starts
BNP began its second march from capital Dhaka's Abdullahpur to Jatrabari on Wednesday morning as part of the party's one-point movement with the goal to oust the government to hold the next general election under a neutral caretaker government.
BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas inaugurated the program in front of Polwel Market at Abdullahpur around 11 am.
Thousands of BNP and its associate bodies joined the program for the second consecutive day.
The march will end at Jatrabari through Dhaka Airport, Kuril Bishwaroad, Natun Bazar, Badda, Rampura, Malibagh, Khilgaon, and Sayedabad roads.
Earlier, BNP held a march from the capital's Gabtali to Bahadur Shah Park on Tuesday.
During the program, a clash occurred between BNP, and Chhatra League men in front of Mirpur Bangla College.
On July 12, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir formally announced a one-point movement to oust the current government to hold the next general election under a neutral caretaker government.
On the day, he also announced a two-day road march program for July 18 and 18 in the capital.
