BNP to announce one-point movement today
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will announce one-point movement from their rally to be held in the capital’s Naya Paltan area on Wednesday.
BNP has been allowed to hold the rally from 2pm to 5pm.
The party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will present as a chief guest at the rally.
Presided over by BNP Dhaka city north unit convener Amanullah Aman, Standing Committee members and other leaders will deliver their speeches.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Tuesday gave BNP the permission to hold the rally with 23 conditions.
BNP’s like-minded political parties are expected to hold simultaneous rallies in different parts of the capital to press home the demand for the ouster of the government ahead of the next parliamentary election.
However, the Awami League will also hold the peace rally in front of the south gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital. AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader is expected to speak as the chief guest at the rally.
