Serajul Alam Khan laid to rest
Serajul Alam Khan, one of the organizers of Bangladesh Liberation War, was laid to eternal rest in Noakhali on Saturday afternoon.
He was buried beside his parents' graves at his ancestral home Alipur village in Begumganj upazila after his second namaz-e-janaza held at Begumganj Pilot High School around 5:30 pm.
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob, BNP Vice Chairman Md Shahjahan, the party chairperson's advisory council member Shimul Bishwas, and Author Farhad Mazhar, among others, attended the namaz-e-janaza.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at the South gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka this morning.

Earlier on Friday, Serajul Alam Khan died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
DMCH sources said he had suffered from various old age complications and was admitted to the facility on May 20 and he was put on life support on June 8 after his condition worsened.
Serajul Alam Khan played a historic role in shaping public opinion in support of Six-Point and played a role in the movement demanding the withdrawal of the Agartala conspiracy case and the release of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In his initiative, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was founded in 1972 but he did not hold a leadership position in the party.
He is known as 'Mystery Man' in the politics of Bangladesh as he worked for the party from behind the scene.
