Leave power, otherwise will face dire consequences, Fakhrul to govt

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called upon the government to hand over power to a caretaker government, otherwise, it will have to face dire consequences.

He said, "Those who are in power, I want to say them, hand over power to a caretaker government by realizing the language of countrymen's mind and eye, otherwise, your consequences will be dire."

Mirza Fakhrul said this while addressing BNP's rally at Nayapaltan in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon. Dhaka North, and South City unit BNP organized the program with a 10-point demand.

From the program, the BNP leader announced demonstration rallies at district and metropolitan cities across the country from May 19 to May 27 to protest the arrest and torture of the party leaders in fictitious cases and to press home 10-point demand.
