Awami League world's biggest thief: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has termed the ruling Awami League the biggest thief in the world.
He said, "Awami League is a party of thieves which steals everywhere, and a bigger thief than it cannot be found in the world."
Mirza Fakhrul made the remark in a discussion meeting at Dhaka Reporters Unity in capital Dhaka on Thursday.
The 12-party alliance arranged the program titled 'Importance and indispensability of 27-point outlines for making a Bangladesh of the future'.
Mentioning that the illegitimate Prime Minister is in power by force, he said, "It hurts when see some intellectuals support this leader (Sheikh Hasina) and back her wrongdoings."

Questioning "Did we want this Bangladesh," Mirza Fakhrul said, "We didn't want this Bangladesh. Today countrymen do not get rice and laborers cannot feed their children eggs as protein."
Stating BNP's movement is going on to establish a people's government through elections under a caretaker government, the BNP secretary general urged all to join the agitation.
He also condemned the violence centering Supreme Court Bar Association polls, saying "This incident proves there is no democracy and rule of law in the country and it seems as if the country has no government, too."
Mostafa Jamal Haider, top leader of the alliance and chairman of Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar), presided over the meeting while Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) additional secretary general Tamiz Uddin Titu conducted it.
