BNP to protest in all metropolitan cities on March 18
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a protest programme in all metropolitan cities of the country as part of their simultaneous movement against the government.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the fresh programme at a human chain held in front of the party’s Nayapaltan central office on Saturday noon.
Mirza Fakhrul said, the government has destroyed all the democratic institutions of the country to stay in power.
BNP will not take part in the next national election under this government, the top leader said.
The party’s Standing Committee Members Mirza Abbas, Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad and Student Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam Bakul, among others, addressed the human chain programme.
BNP Dhaka city (north) Convener Abdus Salam presided over the programme while its Member Secretary Rafiqul Alam Maznu conducted it.
