An Indian court has acquitted BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin in a case filed for allegedly intruding into India.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to Jago News.

He said a court in Shillong of Meghalaya state pronounced the verdict on Tuesday and alongside, it asked authorities concerned to make arrangements for his return home.

Salahuddin Ahmed went missing on March 10 of 2015. At that time, his family had alleged that some people introducing themselves as law enforcers picked up him from his Uttara house but the law enforcers had been denying the allegation.

After two months, the security officials of India rescued him in the country's territory and sued him for intrusion.
