AL pays tributes to language martyrs
The ruling Awami League (AL) has paid rich tributes to the language martyrs by placing wreaths at Azimpur graveyard in the city on the occasion of Shaheed Dibash (Martyrs Day) and the International Mother Language Day, reports BSS.
During 'Provat Feri (procession)', a party delegation led by AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader laid wreaths there in memory of language heroes on Tuesday morning.
AL Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organising Secretaries Ahmed Hossain and Advocate Afzal Hossain, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Md Abdus Sabur, Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs Secretary Faridun Nahar Laili, Population and Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rokeya Sultana and Deputy Publicity Secretary Syed Abdul Awal Shamim were preset, among others, on the occasion.
