Four cases against Jamaat men over clash in mass procession
Police have filed four cases against the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami over the clash in the party's mass procession in capital Dhaka's Mouchak and Malibagh areas.
The cases were lodged with Rampura, Khilgaon, and Shahjahanpur Police Stations in the capital.
Deputy commissioner of Motijheel Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Hayatul Islam Khan confirmed the matter to Jago News on Saturday afternoon.
He said Jamaat-e-Islami brought out a mass procession without taking permission on Friday, attacked and beat up police members, leaving several cops injured.
Police filed four cases with three police stations in the capital on Friday night and Saturday morning in this connection.
