BNP to hold mass procession in Dhaka on Dec 30
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will bring out a mass procession in Dhaka on December 30 instead of December 24.
BNP’s Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan announced the new date of the procession at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Saturday.
However, the party will hold the same programme across the country outside Dhaka on December 24.
On Tuesday, BNP decided not to hold their pre-announced programme on December 24 as the ruling Awami League’s national council is scheduled to be held on that day.
Earlier, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged the BNP not to bring out its mass procession in Dhaka on December 24.
It is mentionable that, BNP announced to hold the mass procession on December 24 from its mass rally held in the capital’s Golampbagh on December 10.
