Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the third national council of Jubo Mohila League, an associate organization of Bangladesh Awami League (AL), at the Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on Thursday noon.

Sheikh Hasina, also the ruling AL president, went to the venue around 12pm and later inaugurated the council by hoisting national and party flags and releasing balloons.

The council is being chaired by the President of the organisation Nazma Akter and conducted by the General Secretary Apu Ukil.

The Jubo Mohila League was founded on July 6 in 2002, with a convening committee headed by Nazma Akter and Apu Ukil.

It held its first council on March 5, 2014, electing the two as president and general secretary, respectively.

Nazma and Apu were reelected as president and general secretary at the organization’s second national triennial council on March 11, 2017.
