BNP MPs to submit resignation letter to Speaker today

All seven BNP members of parliament, who announced to step down, will submit their resignation letters to Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Sunday.

They will officially resign at Jatiya Sangsad around 11 am, BNP's acting office secretary Syed Emran Sale Prince confirmed on Saturday.

Earlier, the resignation of the seven BNP lawmakers was announced from BNP's Dhaka divisional mass rally at held Golapbagh field in the capital's Sayedabad this afternoon.

Later, they one after another announced to quit as parliament members at the rally but Chapainawabganj-3 MP was not present there as he is now in Australia.

The MPs are Gulam Mohammad Siraj from Bogura-6, Zahidur Rahman from Thakurgaon-3, Mosharrof Hosen from Bogura-4, Aminul Islam from Chapainawabganj-2, Harunur Rashid from Chapainawabganj-3, Abdus Sattar from Brahmanbaria-2 and reserved seat lawmaker Rumeen Farhana.
