BNP calls upon JaPa MPs to resign

BNP Vice Chairman Ahmed Azam Khan has called upon the Jatiya Party members of parliament to step down like BNP MPs.

"BNP's seven MPs resigned. I will say to Jatiya Party MPs, you also quit by tomorrow and join people who no longer want this government," he said.

He made the call while speaking at BNP's Dhaka divisional mass rally at Golapbagh field in the capital's Sayedabad area on Saturday.

Earlier today, seven lawmakers of BNP announced to step down from parliament to accelerate the party's ongoing movement for toppling the government.

They are Gulam Mohammad Siraj from Bogura-6, Zahidur Rahman from Thakurgaon-3, Mosharrof Hosen from Bogura-4, Aminul Islam from Chapainawabganj-2, Harunur Rashid from Chapainawabganj-3, Abdus Sattar from Brahmanbaria-2 and reserved seat lawmaker Rumeen Farhana.
