Two more cases over Nayapaltan police-BNP clash

Police on Thursday filed two more cases over the clash between police and BNP men at Nayapaltan in capital Dhaka.

One case was filed against 167 named, including Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Kazi Rawnakul Islam Sraban, and unknown many others with Ramna Police Station, Dhaka. 

The other lawsuit was lodged against 55 named and 200-250 unknown people with Shahjahanpur Police Station, Dhaka. 

Allegations of possessing explosives, holding rally unlawfully and vandalizing vehicles were brought in the two cases.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Media and Public Relation Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Farukque confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Earlier, police filed two cases with Paltan Model Police Station and Motijheel Police Station over the clash.

On Wednesday afternoon, police and BNP leaders-activists clashed in front of the party's central office that left one dead and several injured.
