BNP to hold press conference in afternoon

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a press conference on Thursday afternoon after the clash ensued with police in front of the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the capital.

The press conference will be held at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan at 3pm. 

BNP Secretary General Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address the press conference. 

Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the party’s media cell, confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, a man was killed and 20 others were injured in the clash between police and BNP men in front of the party’s Nayapaltan central office.

Later, police arrested many leaders and activists of the party including Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Publication Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, Dhaka City North Convener Aman Ullah Aman and Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas from Nayapaltan.
