PM inaugurates BCL national council

The 30th national council of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, is being held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Tuesday. 

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council of BCL by hoisting the national and party flags at 11:30 am.

BCL President Al Nahian Khan Joy and General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee, among others, were present.

In its last council held on May 11, 2018, Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon was selected as the president of the Chhatra League and Golam Rabbani as the general secretary.

Later, on September 14, 2019, Al-Nahean Khan Joy and Lekhak Bhattacharjee were declared acting president and acting general secretary soon after then president Rezwanul and general secretary Rabbani were removed from their posts.

On January 04, 2020, Al-Nahean Khan Joy and Lekhak Bhattacharjee were made full president and general secretary respectively.
