One-point movement to oust govt to start from 10 Dec: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has firmly said his party's 10 December Dhaka divisional mass rally will be held in Nayapaltan and a one-point movement to oust the government will start from there.
"Is the country reign of anyone's father? Rally will be held here (Nayapaltan) and it is the people's declaration. The actual announcement will come on 10 (December) and a one-point movement will begin from the day," he said.
Mirza Fakhrul said this at a rally in front of BNP's Nayapaltan central office in capital Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.
Dhaka north and south city units of BNP organized the program protesting Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Nayan Mia in police firing in Brahmanbaria.
The BNP secretary general said this mass agitation is to protest fuel, and commodity prices hike, protest the deaths of Shaon, Nur-e-Alam, and Abdur Rahim, and seek the release of Khaleda Zia and withdrawal of false cases against 35 lakh BNP men.
"One point, one demand, there is no compromise. This government must go.... and they will leave peacefully," he said.
Mentioning that Awami League is playing with lives and BNP's seven men were killed, he urged people to wake up and force the AL-led government to leave power as none does it voluntarily.
BNP will hold a mass rally in capital Dhaka on December 10 as part of its rallies in divisional cities seeking the party chief Khaleda Zia's unconditional release, election-time non-party impartial government, and protesting fuel prices hike, deaths, of leaders and activists by police, attack and false cases against them.
