BNP ex-MP Nadim arrested in Rajshahi

Former BNP lawmaker of Rajshahi-5 advocate Nadim Mostofa has been arrested.

A team of DB police arrested him from a house at Pathanpara in the district around 12pm on Tuesday. 

ABM Masud Hossain, Police Super of Rajshahi, confirmed the arrest to Jago News. 

He said, an arrest warrant was issued against Nadim in a murder case. 

Abu Sayed, Convener of Rajshahi district BNP, said a man named Mojir Uddin was murdered on January 5 in 2015. Nadim, also the former president of Rajshahi district BNP, was granted six-week anticipatory bail by the High Court in the case. But he didn’t surrender to the lower court despite the direction of the HC. Police arrested him in the case.
