BNP’s mass rally: Bus services on Dhaka-M’singh route stopped

Transport owners have kept stopping bus services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route as BNP is going to hold a mass rally at Polytechnique Institute ground in Mymensingh on Saturday afternoon.

No buses left Mohakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka this morning. As a result, the passengers of this route are facing problem to reach their destination.

Samdani Khandakar, Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners’ Association, said transport workers were attacked and some buses were vandalized after a rally of BNP in Chattogram recently. The similar incident might be occurred at BNP’s rally in Mymensingh today. Hence, the transport owners kept stopping the bus services on the route.

It is to be noted that, Mymensingh division unit BNP is going to hold the mass rally in protest against price hike of essentials, death of party leaders and workers during the ongoing movement, release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, and implicating leaders and workers in false cases.

The party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgur will present there as chief guest.
