25 sued over Manikganj police-BNP clash

A case has been filed against 2,500 people - 33 named and the rest unknown - over the clash between police and BNP men in Manikganj district.

Sadar Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Abdul Liton lodged the case with the police station on Thursday night.

Officer in-charge Abdur Rouf told Jago News that the BNP leaders and activists hurled brickbats toward policemen, leaving several cops injured.

A case was registered with police station in this connection and drives are on arrest the accused, he said.

Manikganj unit BNP brought out a rally in the district town on Thursday morning to observe the party's anniversary.

A clash ensued between BNP men and police as the law enforcers obstructed the rally in Khalpar area, leaving several leader-activist of the party, cops, and journalists injured.
