Left parties urge all to observe Thursday's hartal

The left political parties have urged the countrymen to take to the streets on Thursday's half-day hartal to make it successful. 

The Left Democratic Alliance (LDA), a platform of left-leaning political parties, made the call in a press conference at its office at Purana Paltan in the capital of Dhaka on Wednesday.

Earlier, the LDA announced the hartal across the country protesting the energy oil, urea fertilizer, daily commodity prices hike, transport fare increase, and the process of raising gas and electricity prices.
