30 JCD men injured in ‘BCL attack’

At least thirty leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were injured as Chhatra League men allegedly attack on them in the capital at 9:45am on Tuesday. 

Some of the injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.  

According to the source, a new committee of central JCD was formed recently and they also held processions and rallies on Dhaka University campus. In a programme held at TSC of the university recently, JCD’s central General Secretary Saif Mahmud Juwel allegedly made derogatory comments on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

JCD men claimed that they were going to Dhaka University Journalists’ Association located at TSC to give explanation of their leader’s comment on PM. When they reached at the central Shaheed Minar area, some people attacked on them with sticks.  

In this connection, JCD leader Abu Afsar Mohammad Yahya told Jago News that Chhatra league attacked on us. We must go to our campus and will have to protest against terrorism.
