Gunnu’s bail rejected over Mitu murder

A Chiitagong Court on Saturday rejected bail appeal of Abu Nasor Gunnu, suspected murder of Mahmuda Khanam Mitu, wife of police superintendent Babul Akter.

Metropolitan Session Judge Md Shahe Nur rejected the bail appeal after the hearing of bail appeal of Gunnu in the morning.

Earlier, Police arrested Gunnu from Hathazari area on June 8 in connection with the murder of Mitu.

On June 5, three assailants stabbed and shot Mitu, wife of SP Babul Akter, a cop who spent most of his time curbing militancy, dead when she was taking her son to his school bus stop at GEC intersection in the port city.
