Babunagari, Jihadi made Hefazat amir, secretary general

A new committee of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has been formed.

Junaid Babunagari and Nurul Islam Jihadi have been made amir and secretary general of the organization. 

The new committee was announced at a press conference held at Makhjanul Ulum Madrasa in the capital’s Khilgaon at 11am on Monday. 

The people who have political identity have been dropped in the new committee.

Hefazat’s founder amir Shah Ahmed Shafi’s eldest son Md Yousuf has also been given a post.

Nine nayeb-e-amir of the new committee are Mawlana Ataullah Hafezzi, Mawlana Abdul Haque, Mawlana Salahuddin Nanupuri, Principal Meezanur Rahman Chowdhury, Mawlana Muhibbul Haque, Mawlana Yahya, Mawlana Abdul Kuddus, Mawlana Tajul Islam and Mawlana Mufti Jasimuddin.

Five people who have been selected as joint secretaries are Mawlana Sazedur Rahman, Mawlana Abdul Awal, Mawlana Lakeman Hakim, Mawlana Anwarul Karim and Mawlana Ayub Babunagari.  

Mawlana Johurul Islam and Yousuf Madani have been selected as assistant secretaries general.

The eight other members of the committee are Mawlana Maborakullah, Mawlana Foyjullah, Mawlana Forkanullah Khalil, Mawlana Mushtaq Ahmed, Mawlana Rashid Ahmed, Mawlana Anas, Mawlana Mahmudul Hasan and Mawlana Mahmudul Alam.
