Abul Hayat catches Covid-19; admitted to hospital

Legendary actor and writer Abul Hayat has been admitted to a hospital in the capital after he had contracted coronavirus.

He was admitted to hospital on Wednesday night, and currenty is in stable condition, the actor's daughter Natasha Hayat in a Facebook post confirmed.

In the post, she also said plasma of A+ blood is urgently needed for her father, drawing attention of those who recovered from the virus three weeks ago.

She, also wife of actor Shahed Sharif Khan, urged the country people to keep her father in their prayers for his quick recovery.

Abul Hayat, former executive engineer of Dhaka WASA, won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in Daruchini Dwip film in 2007, and bagged Ekushey Padak for his acting in 2015. 

The popular actor starred in 1000 television dramas while wrote as many as 28 books.

He is, however, the father of actresses - Bipasha Hayat and Natasha Hayat - and father-in-laws of actors - Tauquir Ahmed and Shahed Sharif Khan.
