Islami Andolan's procession backing Hefazat's hartal

Islamic Andolan Bangladesh brought out a procession in the capital on Saturday afternoon in support of the Sunday's hartal called by Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh.

The procession was brought out from the North gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque around around 3:30pm that ended at Dainik Bangla intersection after parading Paltan intersection. 

Several thousands of leaders and activists of the Islamic party participated in the programme, chanting slogans 'Naraye Takbir,' 'Allahu Akbar,' and 'Agami Kalker Hartal, Safal Hok Safal Hok' roughly translated into 'tomorrow's hartal, be successful.'

The law enforcers were, however, on alert in the area centering the procession to avoid any untoward situation.

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh staged demonstrations in different districts, including at Baitul Mukarram mosque premises, on Friday, protesting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bangladesh visit.

Four men of the Qawmi madrasa based orgaization were killed in Hathazari upazila of Chattogram district in a clash with police. 

Over the incidents, the party called demonstration on Saturday and dawn to dusk hartal across the country on Sunday.
