Nasim to be buried beside mother’s grave
Awami League (AL) presidium member and former Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim, who died on Saturday morning, will be buried beside the grave of his mother at Banani graveyard.
“The namaz-e-janaza of Nasim will be held in Banani at 10am on Sunday. Later he will be buried beside the grave of his mother at Banani graveyard,” said AL presidium member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak.
He also said, Nasim’s son Tanmoy will come back home from abroad at 12am today. Nasim’s body will be kept at the morgue of Bangladesh Specialised Hospital.
Nasim breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital at 11:10am.
On June 1, he tested positive for coronavirus and was receiving treatment at the hospital. He also suffered a brain stroke during the treatment. He was on ventilation support after underwent a surgery.
Born on April 2, 1948, Nasim served as the former Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Home Affairs of the government of Bangladesh respectively during 2014-2018 and 1999-2001.
