Ishraq also files case seeking fresh polls of DSCC

Ishraq Hossain has also filed a case seeking cancellation of Dhaka South City Corporation (DNCC) election for corruption and irregularities.

He also demanded to hold the DSCC election again.

Ishraq, who got BNP ticket to contest in Feb 1 DSCC mayoral election polls, filed the case with the court of Dhaka Election Tribunal Judge Utpal Bhattacharya on Tuesday.

Eight persons including Chief Election Commission KM Nurul Huda, Returning Officer Md Abdul Kashem and new mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh have been made the respondents of the case.

Ishraq’s lawyer Masud Ahmed Takulder confirmed the case to Jago News.

Earlier on Monday, Tabith Awal filed a case with the same court seeking cancellation of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) election for corruption and irregularities and demanded DNCC election again.
