Tabith files case seeking fresh polls of DNCC

Tabith Awal today filed a case seeking cancellation of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) election for corruption and irregularities.

He also demanded to hold the DNCC election again.

Tabith, who got BNP ticket to contest in Feb 1 DNCC mayoral election polls, filed the case with the court of Dhaka Election Tribunal Judge Utpal Bhattacharya.

Eight persons including Chief Election Commission KM Nurul Huda, Returning Officer Md Abdul Kashem and new mayor Atiqul Islam have been made the respondents of the case.

Tabith’s lawyer Masud Ahmed Takulder confirmed the case to Jago News.
