BNP to stage demo in Dhaka on Tuesday

BNP today announced to hold demonstrations at thanas of Dhaka city for Tuesday.

The party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir declared the programme at a press conference held in the capital at 4:45pm on Sunday. 

He said, Tabith Awal and Ishraq Hossain will present the information to the media about the irregularities in the city corporation elections.  

BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Habibur Rahman Habib, Joint Secretary Generals Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel, mayoral candidates for the just-concluded city corporation elections in Dhaka, Tabith Awal and Ishraq Hossain were present among others during this time. 

Earlier on Saturday, BNP called hartal in the capital protesting “irregularities” in the city corporation elections that elected Atiqul Islam and Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh as mayors of Dhaka North and South City Corporations respectively the same day.
