Gendaria AL VP, GS arrested over illegal casino business

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested two brothers over illegal casino business from the capital’s Sutrapur on Sunday night.
The arrestees are Enamul Haque, Vice President of Gendaria Awami League (AL) Enamul Haque and his brother General Secretary Rupon Bhuiyan.
A large amount of cash and ornaments were recovered from their possession, according to a source of CID.
CID’s Additional Superintendent of Police and Media Officer Faruk Hossen said two people were arrested over illegal casino business.
Earlier on September 24 last year, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered more than Tk5 crore, 730 bhori of gold ornaments and six guns from the residences of Enamul Haque and his two accomplices.
