Quader, Ranga elected chairman, secy gen of Jatiya Party

GM Quader and Mashiur Rahman Ranga were elected as chairman and secretary general of Jatiya Party (JaPa) respectively for next three years on Saturday. 

They were elected in the party’s ninth national council held at the Engineers’ Institution Bangladesh in the capital. 

Raushan Ershad was made the chief patron of the party but she was not present in the council.  

Earlier in the morning, the council began with recitation of National Anthem.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, JaPa’s presidium members Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Golam Qibria Tipu, advocate Sheikh Muhammad Sirajul Islam, Fakhrul Imam, Kazi Feroz Rashid, Zia Uddin Bablu were present among others.
