N’ganj metro, district BNP secys arrested

Police arrested the general secretaries of Narayanganj metropolitan and district unit BNP ATM Kamal and Mamun Mahmud in the wee hours of Tuesday.
They were arrested from their residences in a case filed for obstructing government duty and attack on police, said Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station.
Police said, they obstructed BNP leaders and activists when they brought out a rally in the city on the occasion of Victory Day. At that time, two police officers were assaulted by BNP men.
Later, police filed a case over the matter.
