Faruk murder: Charges framed against Saydee, 106 others
A Rajshahi court has framed charges against convicted Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee and 106 others in a case filed over the murder of Faruk Hossain, who was a student of Rajshahi University and an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
Rajshahi Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Enayet Kabir Sarker passed the order on Thursday.
46 accused are on run and 61 are on bail in the case.
Faruk was killed in a clash between BCL and Chhatra Shibir on February 8 in 2010.
Later the then general secretary of BCL of RU unit Majedul Islam filed a case with Motihar Police Station.
Jillur Rahman, the then officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station submitted a charge sheet to Rajshahi Metropolitan Chief Magistrate Court in the case on July 30 in 2012.
