BCL central leader receives suicidal bullet

A central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has been shot by his own pistol. The incident took place in front of a gate of Master the Surjo Sen Hall of Dhaka University (DU) in the evening on Saturday.

The leader was identified as Meshkat Hossen, Deputy Training Secretary of central BCL who is now undergoing treatment in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Commenting on the incident, Professor Mokbul Hossen, Provost of the hall said, he was heard the news but has no enough knowledge over the matter. And a teacher of the hall was sent to DMCH to observe.

The eyewitnesses said, Meshkat was gossiping with his friends in front of the hall in the evening of the day. It was sighted bleeding from his right leg after a big sound was heard then. He put out the pistol immediately and put in again. It was unlocked and loaded as he always carried the pistol with him.
