Quader returns to office

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has joined his secretariat office after returning home following his treatment in Singapore.

He attended a meeting on progress of ongoing development projects under the ministry and exchange views with the media on Sunday at 10am.  

On Wednesday, Quader, also Awami League General Secretary, returned home from Singapore after 2 months and 11 days.

After undergoing successful bypass surgery in Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital on March 20, he was discharged from the hospital on April 5 and later he stayed over a month at a rented house near the hospital.

On March 3, Quader was admitted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital after he felt chest pain.

Later, he was taken to Singapore after receiving consultation of eminent Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Prasad Shetty.
